Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Splitray ("the Service"), a webhook proxy platform operated by Splitray ("we," "us," or "our") and available at splitray.app.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Splitray is a webhook proxy service that allows you to receive a webhook at a single Splitray endpoint URL and forward it to multiple destination URLs. The Service includes features such as automatic retries with exponential backoff, delivery tracking, and payload forwarding.
Splitray acts as a transparent proxy. We forward webhook payloads as received, without reading, modifying, or storing their contents.
2. Account Terms
Registration
To use Splitray, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at contact support if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.
Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep your information up to date.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Splitray only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service to transmit or proxy content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, phishing attempts, or any form of malicious software.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Splitray's systems, other users' accounts, or any related infrastructure.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by sending an excessive volume of requests intended to overload our systems (denial-of-service attacks).
- Use the Service to violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use or circumvents rate limits.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
4. Subscription and Billing
Free Tier
Splitray offers a free tier with limited features. The free tier is subject to usage limits (e.g., number of endpoints, delivery log retention, monthly webhook volume) as described on our pricing page.
Paid Plans
Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days' notice.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not directly handle or store your full payment card information.
Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
- Upon cancellation, your account will revert to the free tier. If your usage exceeds free tier limits, some features may become unavailable.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again. If payment remains unsuccessful, we may downgrade your account to the free tier or suspend your account after reasonable notice.
5. Service Availability
We strive to provide a reliable, high-availability service. However:
- No guaranteed uptime. We do not offer a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA), particularly for free tier accounts. Paid plans may include uptime commitments as described on our pricing page.
- Scheduled maintenance. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts the Service. We will provide advance notice when possible.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, third-party service failures, or government actions.
6. Intellectual Property
Our Rights
The Service, including its design, code, documentation, branding, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Splitray. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.
Your Data
You retain all rights to your data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., forwarding webhooks to your configured destinations).
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Splitray is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.
- We are not responsible for the actions of third-party webhook providers or destinations. Splitray forwards payloads transparently and is not liable for the content of webhooks or the behavior of upstream or downstream services.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Splitray, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
- The content transmitted through your webhooks.
9. Termination
By You
You may close your account at any time through the dashboard settings. Upon closure, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You violate these Terms.
- Your use of the Service poses a security risk or could cause harm to other users.
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period (12 months or more).
- Required by law.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before termination, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or its users.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Service.
Your continued use of Splitray after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
11. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Splitray regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
